A young man, named Hubert Righ,ton, aged 21 years, residing at 126 Aidwin 's road, Linwood, was found lying on the road last evening. He is believed to have been knocked down by a motor-car. 'e was admitted to the Hospital at head. His condition is serious. WOMAN INJURED. Miss Daley, residing at 38 Carlton Mill road, was knocked down by a motor-car in River road last evening and taken to the Hospital at 8 p.m. She is suffering from a bad scalp wound and other injuries to the head, an operation being performed later in the evening. Her condition was reported to be satisfactory at a late.hour. GANGER INJURED. HIT BY STEAM CAR. It is understood it is customary for the ganger to proceed to a point below Hillies Siding. The car whistled and Stevens apparently endeavoured to get ahead, but the car was too close, and threw the jigger and driver over the bank.
