FIGURES OF FASCISM.
* AMAZING COUNCIL RETURNS.
(BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPTEIOHT.) (AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CABLB ASSOCIATION.) ROME, November 9. Amazing figures regarding Fascism were disclosed by the Grand Fascist Council. The Balilla, or Fascist Nursery, contains 800,000 boys and 250,000 girls. Three thousand one hundred and eighty co-operative organisations are annually distributing goods, valued at 925,000,000 lire, and 1276 labour cooperative workers carried out works for the year valued at 370,000,000 lire. Nine hundred and fifty-four depots sold 322,000,000 lire of agricultural merchandise. There are also six hundred agricultural mutual aid societies, with capital of a billion lire. Signor Mussolini, in a three hours' speech in camera, said that there were 1,029,000 registered Fascists, with 1,000,000 as the permanent nucleus of a .Fascist army. The Council resolved that all responsible positions must be filled by proved Fascists, and that an embargo be laid on the new enrolments to eliminate the unfit in favour of seeking members who will keenly fight a revival of the antiFascist spirit.
