A BENEFIT CONCERT.
TOYS FOR THE CHILDREN. With the object of raising funds for the provision of toys for poor children at Christmas, a concert was held in the Jellicoe Hall last night. The entertainment, which was arranged by Mrs H. Gentles and Mr G. Bennett, was a decided success, and the financial result was most satisfactory. Following was the programme:—Selection, Hawaiian guitar. Mrs Gentles's pupils; musical monologue, Miss Maisie Linton; bolo dance, Miss B. Gentles; song, Mr B. Manning; piano solo, Master S. Daly: selections, Jones's Band; mandolin selection, Bealey String Orchestra; song. Mr R. Stevens; piano solo. Miss I. Thomas; piano duet. Miss M. Fox, Mr Butler; recitation, Mr W. Lumb.
