THE PRESBYTERY.
YESTERDAY'S MEETING.
The Christchurch Presbytery met yesterday morning, the Moderator (the Rev. T. W. Armour) presiding. The plans for a new Sunday school building at St. Martins were referred to the Finance Committee, with power to act. The Moderator and the Revs. N. L. D. Webster and \V. Bower Black were appointed to meet the Radio Broadcasting Company, and representatives of other Churches, at a conference to discuss the broadcasting of church services. Richmond-Shirley Charge. A proposal came before the Presbytery that the Richmond-Shirley charge should be raised to a church extension charge. The Rev. W. Bower Black, in moving on these lines, said the charge was now convinced that it should iucrease its status. The church people were prepared to raise the guarantee from £IOO to £2OO, and suggested that the Home Missions Committee should provide another £IOO. They had arranged with Mr F. E. H. Paton to take charge oi" the church after being ordained. The Rev. N. L. D. Webster seconded the motion, which was carried.
