The Entries. It is highly gratifying, especially to South Islanders, that the entries for the Royal Show this year are o9 more than in 1025, the totals oeing :*!»/, 2798, and 1925, 2729. The .letails

4 Decreases. The outstanding features are the record entries of sheep and of pigsThis is the first season that the sheep entries have exceeded 1100. The previous highest entry of sheep was at the Roval Show in Canterbury in 1925, when the total reached 1083; prior to that the record was 1070, the total at the International Show in 1906. The entries in the pig classes never have been so numerous at any previous show held on the Addington Show Grounds. This year's entry is due to the attract tive additional prizes offered by the New Zealand Meat Producers' Board—£9o in the Large White section, and £6O in the classes for export baconers and pdrkers. A section of the show which will be of special interest this year owing to the number and variety of the exhibits, is the implements and! machinery sectiop. Programme of the Show.

To-day the bulk of the judging will be done. To-morrow there will be many interesting events on the oval, including the ladies' hunter competition. Chi Friday, People's Day, there will be more jumping events, and at 1.30 p.m. the grand parade of champions will take place. To-morrow and Friday Derrv's Military Band will give selected programmes.
