GKEYMOUTH, November 8,
Police raided the billiards saloon of Arthur H. Chunn this afternoon, also the residence of James Hassall, as a result of which both those mentioned were charged later before Justices with keeping common gaming-houses. James Hefternan was charged with assisting in the conduct of the former, while 14 Dl . e , l } .in the saloon were charged aii ln a common gaming-house. All the cases were remanded till Monday except those against four who are seamen whose vessels are timed to leave t0 ;" 1 8'\ t - . The Court decided to deal with their cases, in which the police offered no evidence, and the informations were dismissed.
