CRYSTAL PALACE.
Two of the cleverest comedies screened in Christchurch for tome considerable time comprise the principal offerings at Crystal Palace Theatre this week. ' Wedding Bills" is unquestionably one of the most original scroon comodies yet produced in Hollywood. Raymond Griffiths is the mirthmaker, and tho story of his misfortunes from the time ha agrees to help a friend out of a matrimonial tangle is a complicated one. One might naturally look for troubles in such circumstances, but tho troubles in this case come not singly but in battalions. Everything goes wrong, and the tangle becomes so apparently hopeless that it would seem impossible for a successful unravelling ever to bo effected. The other feature on the programme is "There You Are" —another matrimonial comedy based on a series of unexpected complications. The star in this production is Conrad Napel, whoso woes arc caused mainly through his being induced to hold someone's baby a few liours prior to bis wedding.
