OBJECTION TO AUSTRALIAN CRITICISM. (BY CABLIS—PRIB3 ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT.) (AUSTBALIAJT A.\D K.Z. CABLX ASSOCIATIOX.) (Received November 7th, 9.20 p.m.) NEW YORK, November 6. Vice-president Higliam, of Messrs Raymond and Whitcomb, states relative to the reasons for the cancellation of the Australian tour: '.'Cuttings we have received of newspaper comment on our passengers were far from conducive to sending American tourists to Australia. Wo have, as far as is known, always been welcomed in any other portion of the world with our cruise vessels, but ono would gather from Press observations in Australia that this was not the case at the different ports where we touched."
[lt was previously stated that Messrs Raymond, and Whitcomb were not promoting further tours to Australia and New Zealand because these countries proved less interesting to tourists than the more densely populated areas of the northern hemisphere.]
