The immediate vicinity has been carefully examined. A section offering, good features, both as regards access for vehicles, and approach with underground cables, was located between Faraday street and Milton street. • It contains an area of 20 perches, and includes a four-roomed cottage, which can continue to be let for the present at 25s per week. The price asked was £475. An option was secured, and the proposal submitted to the .Committee, which, taking into consideration all the circumstances, approved of the purchase. In order to exercise the option, which expired on Nqvember 4th K the matter was referred to the Standing Committee for the purchase of Sub-station Sites, and the purchase approved. A deposit has, therefore, been paid in order to secure the property." The report was adopted.
