ENGLISH SHORT-WAVE EXPEEIMENTS. [THE PI»3S Special Service,] AUCKLAND, November 7. A special experimental broadcast from the Marconi short-wave station, sc>W, at Chelmsford. Essex, on a wave-length of 24 metres was clearly heard in Auckland and in other parts of New Zealand last night. The programme transmitted consisted of gramophone records. Late in the evening between records the announcer read the policy of the British Broadcasting Company regarding experiments and future short-wave broadcasting from England. The announcer stated that they would welcome reports from all parts of the world on the result of the test which began at on.m. (English time) on Sunday ami continued for 2-1 hours.
