WESTMINSTER ABBEY.

—, —*. —- PROPOSED ADDITIONS. (BT CABLE-TRUSS ASSOCIATION-COFTRIGBT.) (AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. AND SUN CABLfc.j LONDON, November 4. Mr William Reynolds-Stephens, the welUknown sculptor and artist, declared that the proposed additions to Westminster Abbey amounted to a national question. The Abbey w'as one of the world's greatest works of art, and the greatest recorder of British history. The public must have an opportunity of expressing its opinion as to the best scheme by inspection, not merely of the drawings, but also of models built on the same scale. The scheme for a more or less detached ambulatory seemed the most suitable, providing further space for monuments, which should be smaller. The new buildinc should not hide the existing Abbey Court.
