A NARROW WIN.

WARATAHS BEAT SERVICES. (BY CABL*—PKBSS ASSOCIATIOK-COPYRIGHT). lAUBTBALIAK AND H.Z AMD SUN CABL*.) '(Received November 6th, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, November 6. . The Waratahs defeated the Combined Services team by 13 points to 11. The visitors scored two tries, which were converted, and a penalty goal, while the Services obtained two tries, one of which was converted, and a penalty goal. Fifteen thousand people witnessed a fine, fast game, which the Waratahs should have won more readily. Their forwards got the ball from almost every scrummage, but Bowers and Ford spoiled many chances.

The Services team included nine internationals.

At half-time the score was 6 points to 3 in the Services' favour, but the visitors' strenuous play in the second half made up leeway, and they won by the narrow margin of two points.
