♦— — TO-DAY'S PROGRAMME. The programme being screened this week at the Strand Theatro is headed by ."The Navigator," starring Buster ICeaton. Deserted almost at tho altar, Rollo Treadway uses his honeymoon tickets and sets out on a trip to forget his sorrows. Unfortunately he takes tho wrong ship, and boards a vessel markod out for destruction by Central American revolutionists. By accident the girl who refused to marry him is also aboard when the wreckers cast off the lines of tho supposedly empty ship. The liner drifts to sea, misses the rocks, and wanders aimlessly over.the ocean. Rollo and the girl try to navigato tho vessel, but are not very successful, and 'tho ship comes to a cannibal isle and grounds. Rollo goes overboard iu a diving suit to repair a -leak, and the cannibals capture tho' girl. Rollo rescues her, and they are about to be recaptured by the natives. when a submarine appears suddenly and they are saved. "Tho Escape," starring Peter Morrison, "The Return of the Riddle Rider," Episode 8, a comedy, a news, and a New Zealand scenic are also on tho programme.
