Whene'er I read of motorists who fall Into a trap and then abuse the "bobby," I wish that these good people would recall; •
The factA;that trapping . isn't Robert's hobby. He Is but doing just what he Is told.
Such sport would never occupy his leisure, And even If the fellow, gets yon cold It need not mean that it affords him pleasure.
For underneath that dark official blue The .bobby is a man and eke a brother, Though when there is' a Job of work to do His - private feelings he must strive' to smother. He very likely has a motor-bike, And loves to let her out and show . :ier paces. So, though be can't exactly go on strike, " ■ He often feels fed np with motor cases.
Greet him with kindness, clasp his outstretched hand. Let cheerful smiles irradiate each feature. A constable is easily unmanned .;.•• If only treated. as a fellow- ■ :. v sfre.asure. .
