STREET COLLECTION.
£347 19/- FOR ST. GEORGE'S HOSPITAL.
In order to raise funds for the St. George's Hospital a .street collection was' held yesterday. The appeal was excellently responded to, £347 19s 6d being raised. Many workers were busy selling the Queen Alexandra roses at street corners and other.places of vantage, and the public showed their interest in the new hospital by the willing manner in which 'they contributed. The copper trail in the Square was another means by which supporters could show their sympathy with the project.
