PHILIPSON RECHABITES.
The fortnightly meeting of the Philipson 1.0. R. was held in the Hastings street Hall on Thursday, C.R. Sister Schenkel presiding over a_ large attendance. One candidate wan initiated. A weloome was extended to visitors from the Pride of Christchurch, and Ark of Refuge Tents. Bro Baylis3 gave a brief summary of the business transacted at the .meeting' of the Provincial Council, and Bro. Martin reported on the work among the juveniles. It was resolved that next meeting should be followed by a dance in aid of tho funds of (ho juvenile queen candidate. The remainder of the evening was spent in dancing to music supplied by Bros. Judkins and Bayliss. Items by Sister Smith and Bro. Jackson were much appreciated.
