A " new world's record for delayed parachute jumping was made at Blue Ash, Ohio, by Sergeant Paul ADewesse, who fell 3100 ft before attempting to open his parachute. When only 400 ft from the earth. Sergeant Dewesse opened the parachute. It opened with a crack, splitting in half from the velocity of the wind. However, the fall was broken. The leap was made from a height of 2500 ft,
