i AN IMPORTANT FACTOR. REGULATION-OF OUTPUT PROPOSED. ' (.61 CABLE—PBESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT.) i (Sidket "Si-.\-" Service.) LONDON, November 2. The "Daily News" states that a most important factor has entered the mining industry in South Wales. The Monmouthshire Coal Owners' Committee, after an intensive study of the present ruthless competition, resultant in heavy losses, has prepared a scheme of co-operative regulation of output. This is tho complete abandonment of the mine owners' stronghold, disastrously defended against the attacks of ! economists, statesmen, and the miners' | leaders. If the proposal is adopted, I South Wales will givo the lead and other j coalfields will bo compelled to follow. i The colliery firms will immediately con. | sider tho scheme, after which the" assoi ciation will discuss the matter.
The object is the regulation of the output according to the demand, and the bringing of prices to a level preventing present losses.
