U.S. FARMERS' PROTEST.
PRESIDENT'S FARM POLICY CRITICISED. (BT CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT.) (AUSTRALIAN AXD N.Z. CABLB ASSOCIATION.) NEW YORK, November 2. At St. Louis, Missouri, 300 agricultural leaders from 20 mid-west and southern States, in a sweeping indictment of the foes of farm relief adopted a resolution in conference demanding the re-enactment of legislation effectively incorporating the principles of the McNary-Haagen Bill which President Coolidge declared unconstitutional. The resolution criticised President Coolidge's farm policy. An appeal was issued to the great agricultural sections of the nation to throw their voting- support to candidates favourable to farm relief in. the approaching presidential election, regardless ot their previous Party allegiance. The delegates declared that President Coolidge was "barren of constructive proposals," and criticised him for "nullifying by veto an Aot ot Congress for agriculture." »
