A HUGE INCREASE. (>I CABLS—PBISS ASSOCIATION— COfIUIGttT ) (aUSTHAUAK AND M.Z. CABLB ASSOCIATION.) (Received November 3rd, 8.45 p.m.) WASHINGTON, November 3. The report of the Bureau of Internal Kevenue shows that 117,000,000 persons in the United States had a total income of nearly 90,000,000,000 dollars in 1926, indicating an increase of approximately 26,000,000,000 since 1921. The increase per capita in the income of persons employed for gain had risen from 1637 dollars in 1921 to 2210 dollars in 1926. The Bureau states that this great increase was not the result of an> increase in price levels, for the actual price of consumed goods in 1926 was slightly less than that in 1921.
At the new Bishopscourt the rooms have been called after various heroes of the Church, such as Bishop Selwyn, Bishop Harper, Bishop Patteson, Archbishop Julius, and the Rev. Samuel Marsden. . This information was given by Bishop West-Watson at the opening ceremony connected with the Missionary Exhibition in St, Matthew's schoolroom yesterday afternoon. His Lordship had seen a picture of Bishop Patteson in the exhibition and aesired to purchase it, but it was not on sale. He explained that he wished to have pictures of the Church heroes in the rooms named after them, and asked that if anyone possessed pictures of Bishop Selwyn, or Bishop Patteson, or the Rev. S. Marsden and would sell them for the benefit of the exhibition he would be very glad to purchase them.
