HOUSE OP REPRESENTATIVES. (PBZSS ASSOCIATION TZLZOBAM.) WELLINGTON, November 2. The House of Representatives was engaged all day with the second reading debate on the Religious Exercises in Schools Bill. When this was disposed of at 10.30 p.m., the Seeds Importation Bill was read a second time pro forma, and referred to the Stock Committee. ' The House then went into Committee on the Mining; Amendment Bill, which was passed with amendments made by the Goldfields Committee, and the House rose at 11.20 p.m.
LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL. (PKZSB ASSOCIATION TBLXGBAM.) WELLINGTON, November 2. In the Legislative Council this evening the Rural Intermediate Credits Amendment Bill and the Hutt Valley Land Settlement Amendment Bill were read a first time. The Introduction of Plants Bill was read a second time, pro forma, and referred to .the Agricultural Committee. " The Stock Amendment Bill and the Tongariro National Park Amendment Bill were put through their final stages and passed. The Council adjourned at 8.46 p.m. (having met at 8 p.m.).
