The Attorney-General has directed the Crown Solicitor to file a nolle prosequi in. regard to the libel actions against the "Morning Herald" and others, arising from the publication of the report of the Piddington Royal Commission. [The Royal Commission, which was set up by the Lang Government, sat to enquire into charges made by the "Sydney Morning Herald" and the president of the Graziers' Association that the Industrial Commissioner, Mr A. B. Piddington, allowed political issues to influence him in framing awards.for rural workers. The Commission found that the allegations were not justified!.]
