SOLOMON ISLANDS EXPEDITION.
MR BRUCE'S STATEMENT. (BT CABLII —PR«SS ASSOCIATION— COPTBIGHT.) (AUSTRALIA)! AND KZ. CABL« ASSOCIATION.) (Received November 2nd, 10.30 p.m.) CANBERRA, November 2. In the House of Eepresentatives, in reply to a question, Mr Stanley Bruce stated that the cruiser Adelaide would not tako part in any punitive or retaliatory expedition in the Solomons, nor would it take part in any action to bring the murderers to justice. The expedition • which was arranged to go inland was organised by the British Government from the*latter's own forces in the area. The Addaide wan merely standing by in order to protect the base camp.
