CIIRISTCHURCH OPERATIC SOCIETY.
Something extraordinary in the way of vaudeville and revue entertainment is promised in the Musical Pot-Pourri iu four Acts to be given by the Concert Party of the Christchurcli Amateur Operatic Society in the Caledonian Hall on Thursdav evenin" November Urd. The musical public will remember the good work put in by the Amateur Operatic Society in their operas, and the same thoroughness will be seen in Thursday's production. No efforts have been spared to make the show something out of Ihe ordinary, and the joint producers. Miss Agnes Richardson and Mr Alan W. Brown, ::re more than satisfied with the results. Special atteulion has been paid to the costuming and dresses of the wardrobe. A feature nf the production will be the music, and ii special score, will be interpreted bv a full operatic orchestra of twelve instrumentalists. The Pot-Pourri opens with a brilliant opening chorus by the entire company, and in the four succeeding acts there is not a dull moment. Special mention should be made of the tea-shop scene, a brilliant musical number with novel effects. The principals of the Pot-Pourri include Misses Madge Wilson, Edna Donaldson, Claris Shaw, Constance Henderson, [line and Kdna Pedder, Pessy Hollander, and Messrs Alan \\\ Brown, Wyn Cowliabaw, H. Instone, Fred Hale, J. Nevil Cohon, Kay Nottingham. Ronald Todd, Wallaco Grenfell. A feature of. the Pot-Pourri is the dancing, The soloists are Misses Dallas UcDley and Phyllis Williams, and tho many beautiful ballets In the Pot-Pourri have been capably arranged by the company's ballet mistress, Miss Dorothy White, late of Messrs ,T. C. Williamson. Ltd.'s, companies, and the Spanish ballet, performed by the Misses Millie Stevens. Mavis McLean, Mary Jackson. Honor Ledsham, and Louis Fleming, is a beautiful number. The musical directress will bo Miss Claris Shaw, and the accompanist Miss Knthlocn Doherty, and the whole production will be under tile baton of Mr R. Woolcock. The proceeds of tho PotPourri are being given to tho Returned Soldiers' Association's Benefit Fund. The box plan is now open at The Bristol.
