. TO TKE XDITOB OF THB PE»SS. Sir,—l.beg space to say a few words on the above subject. I do not understand why so many are against it, and seem to think it is going to alter everything; for it will not alter anything unless they start altering the time for meals or amusements, or in fact anything. That is what would muddle things. It is only fair: to those who have to get up on time to leave everything (especially evening amusements or meetings) .as at present.—Yours, etc., , A WELL WISHER.
