The weather will be cloudy and unsettled generally with rain, heavy in parts of Canterbury and Otago, with hail in places. The weather will be improvinE on the West Coast of tho South Island. The temperature will be cold. The barometer at Wellington was 29.70 at 3 p.m. -.
