STRAND THEATRE.
"Held by the Law" is the principal attraction at the Strand Theatre. The story, which stars Johnny Walker and Marguerite de la Motte, opens with tragedy, when a man is murdered at an engagement party. Suspicion falls on the girl's father, and the way in which his nauie is eventually cleared and the real murderer brought to justice, makes . interesting and thrilling drama. "The Mystic" is a picture of sensational type in which, seeing the possibilities for money-makin? in ft band of gypsies wandering through Hungary, Michael Xash, aa international crook, takes Zara a, beautiful girl as a medium. They trick the police and fleece wealthy patrons in a sensational manner. ' Episode 7 of "The Return of the Riddle Rider," a comedy, and a news reel are shown in support.
