What is believed to bo the best price given in this district for polo ponies was announced to-day after negotiations during the week-end by Sir Bruce Stewart, of Pigeon Bay, Canterbury. - Sir Bruce Stewart is a keen polo player, and he, wanted good animals. He secured Mr Jnmes Bobson's pony Ruby fo* £2OO and Mr Leo Fitzgerald's Bone Dry for £75.
