OLYMPIA.
BIG MOTOR SHOW. Canterbury's Motor Olympia will be opened officially at King Edward Barracks on Saturday evening at 8 o'clock by the Mayor of Christchurch (Mr J. K. Archer) and remain in session all Carnival Week. It would be very difficult for the members of the Canterbury branch of the New Zealand Motor traders' Association to improve on the very high standard set last year, but it is claimed that this show will set a new mark in spectacular display. Many new models in cars will make their debut, and many will offer improvements and modifications. Trucks, motor-cycles, tyres, oils, and accessories generally will bo fully represented in a wide range of exhibits. The decorations and lighting effects will be staged on a lavish scale. The Olympia Orchestra will play at afternoon and evening sessions.
