SPEED TRIALS.
CHRISTCHURCH MOTOR CLUB. The Christchurch Motor Club conducted a scries of speed trials at North Beach on Saturday over the flying mile course. The fastest time was made by A. Smith, who covered the course in 3Ssec, equal to 95 miles per hour. The results were: 350 c.c. Class—G. Hockley (Harley-David-son), 47 4-ssec, 1; S. Wicks (Harley:Davidsor.),"so 3-ssec, 2; 'Preddy (A.J.S.), sSsec, 3. 600 c.c. Class—A. Smith (A J.S.), 43 2-ss«c, 1; .J. Carter (Triumph), 45sec, 2; Burford (A.J.S.), 47 2-ssec .3. Over GOO c.c—A. Smith (Indian),. 94 miles per' hour,-'3Sscc, 1. -.Fastest time for the day, unlimited, A. Smith (Indian), 37 l-ssec, 95 mile 3 per hour.
