Anecdotes of his travels on the West Coast on suivey trips in the '6o's were recounted by Mr A. Dudley Dobson last evening to members of the Chri&tclnircb Tramping Club. Mr Dobson gave an account of an attempt to reach the Coast from Canterbury with horses, by way of the Waimakariri, which failed close to Arthur's Pass. Mr W. A. Kennedy showed a fine series of slides. i n colours, of West Coast scenes. Mr P. R. Climie wae in the chair.
