Mr C. C Warner. Superintendent of the Ohristchurch Fire Brigade, has received a cheque for £25 from Messrs Aulsebrook and Co. (Mr R. E. McDougall, proprietor), accompanied by the following letter: ' 'We wish to express to your brigade our great appreciation of the valuable services rendered fit the unfortunate fire at our factory on Sunday night last. It was indeed a wonderful 'save,' especially when you consider the boisterous weather' they had to contend against, and if it had not been for the great ffforts of the brigade, concrete floors, and iron doors, the whole factory would have gone and hundreds would have been thrown out of work- We have pleasure in • enclosing cheque for £25 to be allocated to the firemen's —-'-fund."
