LATE MR R. J. BETTS.
THE FUNERAL
The funeral of the late Mr Robert James Beits, an old and valued member of the staff of the Christchureh Press Company, Ltd., took place at Bromley yesterday afternoon, the Ven. Archdeacon Taylor officiating at the graveside. The'pall-bearers were Messrs G. Ritchie, P. Sprosen, R. H. Agassiz, and W. Kearney. In addition to a large number of personal friends there were present as representing The Pbzss :—Messrs A. M. Burns (manager), A. Cant (accountant), E. ft C. Hyde (printer), C. Petersen (chief engineer), J. McLean (head stereotyper), L. A. Agassiz, H. Legge. G Davidson, H. Mann, W. Cull, W. Dew, W Hale, P. Thompson (mechanical staff), R. E. Agassiz, P. Maurice, H. A. Kent (news room), F. M. Dunn and G. Renner (reading staff). Many floral tributes were laid on the grave.
