The ferry steamer Maori is to dock on Monday for cleaning and painting. She will sail in the evening as usnal. The Holmdale is to arrive on Tuesday from the south to load for Wellington and Wanganui. The repairs to the bows of the liner Kent which was damaged by the breakwater at New Plymouth recently, are being rauidlv pushed ahead in the dock at Port Chalmers' Despite_ the wintry conditions prevailing at the beginning of. the week the work was continued, and a large canvas suspended from the vessel s bows provided shelter from the driving sleet and bitter winds.
