TAYLOR'S MISTAKE CLUB. * The annuaf report of tho Taylor's Mistake Stirf and life-Saving Club etates. that the past season proved fairly successful: The membership, however, did cot show any substantial increase over the previous year. There was no loss of life on.the beach during the season. The club „ held an enviable record throughout its existence of not having had a drowning fatality on the beach portion under the direct control of the club. During tLo year serious beach erosion had taken ' place in the Vicinity of the pavilion, endangering the ehed. The coat : of protective works would be about £240, and the construction of a protective wall'was now undur way. Owing to the club having to contribute £7O towards the cost of the protective wall, it was now in debt to tliß extent of £4B Bs. The committee expressed regret at the loss the club had sustained by the death of Mr L. Partridge, and recorded its deep appreciation of the many sterling efforts made by the late member ..for the benefit of tho .club as instructor.
