The Riga correspondent of ''The Times" reports that the (Soviet Court has sentenced tlio sailors Daskcvich to eighteen months' imprisonment, Tyehkin to two month's', without hard labour. for killing three persons aboard the steamer Inkerman. The Court found that the accused and the Inkerman's crew lawfully desired to capture the ship and proceed to a country which did riot exploit the workmen. They instructed the eaptaift to steer for Odessa, but he unexpectedly resisted, . whereupon Daskevicli shot the mate, a stoker, and the engineer. The Court considered that the accused wer? sorely provoked, but exceeded the measures necessary for self defence.
[A previous cable message stated that k .Soviet Court would shortly give judgment as to whether the steamer Inkerman. which n mutinous crew had brought to Odessa, belonged to the Soviet. The_ Inkerman was once Russian. but White Russians sold her to a Greek, for whom she plied the Black Sea ports.]
