The lady canvasser for life insurance previously has not been exploited, and probably tho explanation *is that not every director can lay his bands on a Laura La Plante to give actuality, and vim, aud M go" to the character. Laura La Plante outshines any of her previous records as a comedienne. Tom Moovc makes a fine figure as nn African explorer, and Bryant "Washburn ts well cast as a wealthy young bachelor. There is also screened "The "Whirlwind c»f Youth," a drama love aud war, W'V 1 the first-named predominating, in which Loi* Moran and Donald Keiib are starred.
