HEATHCOTE NEWS.
__—— Social and Dance. A very pleasant social and dance organised by the members of the Heathcote troop of Girl Guides took place on Tuesday evening in St. Mary's Schoolroom. The following items were given:—Songs, Misses R. Lunn and A. Hedgman; pianoforte solo,' Leonora Woods; recitation, Miss R. Truscott; pianoforte duct. Misses I. 'Roder and G. Redden. Mr C. Booth was M.C., and Mrs Loney supplied the music. Carnival Committee. A meeting of the Carnival Committee and the interested public of Heathcote took place on Tuesday evening in the Club Hall. The report of the Provisional Committee was received, and the recommendations adopted. Those present formed themselves into a General Committee. It wrs decided that the following attractions be organised:— Bowling tournament, tennis tournament, athletic events, novelty events, and various side-shows. Sub-committees were formed to organise each of the sections. It wan defl-, nitely decided to hold the carnival in the Recreation Ground at Heathcote on Saturday, December 10 th.
