DYNAMITE USED.
ROBBERS ATTEMPT TO BLOW SAFE. In an'attempt to blow'open-a safe on the premises of the Zoalandin Milling Co., Huzeldean road, Aldington, in tlvo earlv hours of Tuesday morning) burglars "made use of dynamite. Many people nearby heard the explosion and, a man, who was returning home at 2.30 a.m. after .witnessing the fire at Aulsebrook's factory, informed the police. A pane in the office window was smashed and the latch prised open. Marks of rubber shoes were left on the office table. The safe had been placed on its hack and a chare© of dynamite inserted in the lock. When the discovery of the burglary was made, fibres from a mat, placed over the safe to deaden the noise, were found scattered all over the room. The safe contained documents of value to the company only, and there was less than £1 cash in it. TTie front lock was smashed, but : the second held, the casing of the door being damaged.
