CRYSTAL PALACE.
A drawing-room comedy is "The Love Thrill," ' now showing at tho Crystal Palace. It is somewhat noteworthy that the lady canvasser for life insurance previously has" not been exploited; Probably tho explanation is that not every director can lay Ids hands on a Laura La Plante to give actuality, and vim, and "go" to the character. Ruin stares her father in the face, and it is a case of desperate remedies.. Laura La Plaute outshines any of her previous records as a comedienne. Tom Moore makes a fine figure as the African explorer, and Bryant Washburn is y>ell cast as tho wealthy young bachelor. . .
There is also screened "The Whirlwind of Youth," a drama of love and war. with tho first-named predominating, in which Lois Sloran and Donald Keith are starred.
