THE RACING REVIEWED. All the acceptors went to the post for the High-Weight Handicap. Taken as a whole they were not a good-lot, but. little fault could be found with their condition. Luminant who is by Thurnham —Sunglow, was made favourite. Sho was well back in a straggling lot shortly after the start, but running along the back she went up on the outside, and, getting the measure of Beaming, the, leader, led into the straight, and, ridden -out, lasted long enough to beat Shandre. Luminant has an engagement in the Oaks, but she did not run on well enough in this race to sugcest that she would see out the Oaks journey. Flaming Ray who stripped well, and was well supported, ran a wretched race. So did The Harp and Mali The scratching of thirteen horses left a field of cloven horses to go to tho post for the Trial Plate. Most of these wcro very green. Rotor beinS easily the best of them. Ho got away fairly well, and, catching the leader, Miss Trillion, entering the straight, he went on to win well. Owing to tb9 wretched weather Footfall and Count Cavonr were not taken to Rangiora. Their defection from the Cup took a lot of interest from the racing. A fierce gust, with hail-, thrashed across the course when the-horses paraded for the big race of the. day, and it was bitterly cold. Still, the seven runners looked a well-conditioned lot. The brjlliant Solferite set out to win j all the way, and he might have done the trick but for hanging out at the turns. By doing so he'lost some ground, but he also made Fronk Rank lose some, both going out of the 'straight and coming into it, and still she beat him. • Countersign, who is lost ou anything but-firm ground, ran very badly. She was. tailed .'off. and in trouble a long way from j home. Nincompoop ran a fair race, and when'Solferite carried Front Rank, out at the home turn he' flashed up on the inside. For a few strides he 1 looked dangerous, but.lio Fooii collapsed. 'Assurance never was dan- I gprnus. and Ophir never flattered his backers, while Margaret .Birney, who was well han- > died, ran'her-usual honest race into third

Place. The handsome silver cup that *' as given to the club bv Mr Geo. Cudby was produced in the bifdeace after the race, the club president, Mr 11. 0. I>. van Asch, thanked tho donor for his generous gift, after which Miss Cudby presented the trophy. The cup was received amidst cheering by Mr V alter Clifford, on behalf of his brother, Sir Geo. Clifford. He. thanked the donor m a characteristic little speech, and there was further cheering, the win being a popular one.

The View Hill Handicap Trot was a onehorse race for Roldena. After getting > nto f» good position earlr be ran to the front half a mile from home, and won very easily from Erin's Royal, who came fast. Fully half of the starters failed to handle the going properly, and the field was soon strung out a very long way. The six runners that paraded for the I"lying Handicap were a speedv Int. Paperchaso looked backward, but the rest stripped well. Sagittarius was the first to show clear, but he hung out at the turn, and this enabled Arrowmir to get up on the rails, while Taper-* chase closed up on the outside. Moorland, who stripped in perfect condition, was fast closing on the leaders, and I'inora, who was lost in the going, had dropped out of the struggle. At the home turn Sagittarius again hung out taking Psperohase and Moorland with him. For a few strides it looked as if this would cost Moorland the race. Once into the straight, however, he came away to heat Paperchase decisively. The race will do Paperchase a world of good. Sudden Storm pnt up an attractive performance when she won the Oxford Hack Handicap. Having drawn No. 1 berth at the barrier, she repeatedly backed away when all were lined up. Eventually, when the tapes were released, instead of jumping out, she went back. The reimlt was that sho was apparently hopelessly left. Sticking to the rails, C. Eastwood got up behind the leaders by the time the home turn was reached, and "then he pulled to the outside and got up with vigorous riding to win by a neck from Jarretiere. Note, as usual, began brilliantly, 'as did Scoff. They led to the straight, where both collapsed. There is not a barrier at the seven furlong peg, and this was probably the reason of a straggling start for tho Fernsido Handicap, of' which Kcnmore and Thorndalc pot some advantage, while Mimo, Moratorium, and Gold Brick got away correspondingly badly. Keumoro held the lead to the straight, whero Thorndale, owing to superior condition, outstayod him and won by a length. Moratorium, who finished fast in third place, would certainly have troubled the dividend-payers if he had got away on term* with them. Kenmoro should be very hard to beat next timo out.

. The Meeting was brought (o a close .with the Ashley Trot, a mile saddlo race. There is very little to say about it. Vena re, Alvira, and .Lady Cio did not find their feet very smartly, but they did better than many of their opponents. The result was that they were soon well clear. 11l the straight Lady Cio came on under punishment and just beat Venarc . Many people thought that Silent Member had won. They were mistaken, but tho mistake was excusable, as Lady Cio, instead of carrying a No. 0 saddlecloth, bore a Xo. o.' This was Silent Member's number.

Frisco Jack and'Waiau Lad fell at the eod wall, and Banjuke took command with Maidos and Pendavies next. Two fences later Sea Comet ran off. Glendowie improved his position along the back, Banjuke tiring. Bound the home turn came Glendowie with Nukutere next, but the latter slipped and lost ground. Glendowie won easily by three lengths from Syndicate, who was four lengths ahead of Nukutere. Hypothesis was fourth.

The Raider was fourth, followed bv Mandy, Bronstell, and Vigilance. Time, ill JlNOTES ON THE RACING. Vexatious at Last. Brigadier Bill and Anchor disputed favouritism in the Second Hurdle Handicap, and thev gave promise of returning dividends when the last fence was crossed, but Vexatious, who was kept in behind them till the fence' was reached, had more pace in the run homo, and won an interesting race by two lengths from Brigadier Bill, who got up in time :o heat Anchor by a head for second money. The last-named acted as pacemaker j.r.vti<.illy throughout, and gave a good exhibition of jumping, but could not sec the journey out. Brigadier Bill again rau a solid race, but was outjumped by Anchor at each fence. The winner jumped better than was the case in her previous races over the sticks, and on her running would have been » hard proposition in Saturday's race but for falling on tho flat. South Island Owned. Rovol Picture, Miss Scandal, Fee Simple, Glengassy, Dainty Ways, Liaison, and Sky Quest were the defections from the Spring Trial Stakes, for which Ring Boy, who had run a good third on Saturday, was elected favourite from Don Joso and Blimp. The ►tart was not a good one, Don Jose and Star God being slow to move off, while Vindication was badly left. King Boy was the ♦arly leader from Blimp, and as the straight v»g entered bo had a slight lead from Mark Mint, Tone, Blimp, and Historic. Mandarino was in front commencing the run home from Mark Mint and Ring Boy, but Blimp finished with a rattle on the outside and in. a stirring tussle gained the verdict by half h length from Ring Boy, who was only a neck in front of Tone. Maui was closo up fourth, and then came Mandarine, Zipper, Kindle, and Irish Lad. • Wanderlust Improves. The Derby candidate, Ganymede, was mado the public choice for tho Tnrarua Handicap, but be failed to justify the support accorded him, and finished well behind the placed division. The winner turned up in Wanderlust, who acted as runner-up to Kilmoyler on Saturday. Ladykillcr was tho early leader, but gave way to Wanderlust at the far turn. Maintaining his advantage, Wanderlust beat the fast finishing Oratrix by half a length. Wild Pigeon also finished fast and beat Twink for third money on the post. Boy was close up next, and then followed Thurnbell, Ganymede, Rotowhcro, Talisker, and Pangolin. The Two-year-olds. Prince Humphrey! Royal Duke, Full Feather, Bridget, and Moorgas were the withdrawals from tho two-year-old event, the Roseneath Handicap, and in a good betting race Silver Rule was made an outstanding favourite. Ohlt, Flicker, and Silver Rule wore the early lenders, and as tho _ field gained the false rail this trio were practically in line. Chit retired from the position at the distance post, and Flicker and Silver Rule settled down to a good finish. The former had tho better of his rival Bearing the post, bnt Staghuntir came on the scene with a determined run aud, finishing well under pressure, crossed tho lino with a seek advantage from Flicker, who was a head in front of the- favourite. Raasay was a fair fourth. The next to finish wero Concentrate IL, Chit, and Moutoa .Treasury. The winner is a very promising youngster, and should do good service for the stable. He was purchased by Mr E. Riddiford at tho Sydney Easter sales for 300 guineas.

■ Royal Game Again. All, with the exception of Nippy, paraded for the Pearce Handicap, and an extensive, betting pool was recorded with nine of the candidates fairly evenly supported. On his forward showing in Saturday's race, Bennanoe was the ultimate favourite, but ho failed to run up to expectations, and evidently did not find the going to his liking. Tho race was full of interest, and an exciting finish was witnessed. Monagban was the first to break the lino, and led along the back from Vivo, Jtoucx, Bennance, and Royal Game. This order underwent little change until tho straight was reached. When heads were turned for home Royal .Oume and Monaffhan were in the van, but 'were joined over the concluding stages by Yoma. Royal Game stuck to his task gamely and gained ; the verdict by a head from Monaghan and Yoma, whom the judge was unable to separate. Mandane was a good fourth, a nose in front of Rouex, with Vertigern, Bennanee, and Joy Bird following in that order. The Redoubtable Limerick. Much excitement prevailed when the highclass field of eight runners paraded for tho Champion Plate, and Limerick's appeaTanco in the birdcage was greeted with enthusiastic applause. All points of vantage were rushed when tho preliminaries took place, and as soon as operations commenced on the machino Limerick's number was rushed, but Te Monanui, Laughing Prince, Star Stranger, and Rapier each had a substantial coterie ot followers. Limerick carried over three thousand pounds, as compared with ene thousand by Te Monanui, and his figures represented almost half of the total on the machine. Without any delay the barrier was lifted. Star. Stranger getting the' best of the dispatch, while Rapier was the slowest to move out. Going out of the straight Star Stranger was in front of Da maris, To Monanui, Laughing Prince, Limerick, Grand Knight, Beacon Light, and Rapier. At the far tarn the order was practically the same, except that Beacon Light improved his place and Laughing Prince wont back. Beacon Light was first into the straight from Te Monanui, with Star Strangor next, just in front of Limerick and Rapier, Laughing. Princo being next. The favourito was seen to make an effort as the distance post was reached, and although To Monanui, Grand Knight, and Laughing Prince in turn issued challenges, the champion, in an apparently effortlets manner, went on to win by a length from Laughing Princo, who finished well from » long way back. It was thought ho was overhauling Limerick in tho concluding; fow strides, but EHis gave the latter a reminder noaring the post, and be executed a final sprint to put the issue beyond all doubt. Te Monanui ran a creditable race, finishing a length and a half from Laughing Prince, and the came distance in front of Grand Knight, who showed a marked improvement on his recent efforts. Rapier was never really in tho picture, and finished in behind Grand Knight, with Beacon Light, Star Stranger, and Damaris following in that order.

Booster Prevails. Although there were only fivo acceptors for the Nai Nai Handicap, the pool totalled over aix thousand pounds, Booster and Shirley accounting for three-parts of the total. The finish was between this pair, who were abreast practically from the barrier rise, and ran neek-and-neck to the post. Shirley seemed to have her nose in front a few yards from the judge, but with a final effort Booster crossed the line with a head, advantage. Kilbronsyth was three lengths away in third place, and Lausanne and Silver Coot wero together next. A Good Favourite.

The concluding event of the Meeting, the. Itaahine Handicap, proved anffasy victory for the favourite, Duke Abbey, who failed badly in the final race on Saturday, when he was also fust choice. The race produced solid speculation, the pool totalling over eleven thousand pounds. The field were well bunched until the course proper was entered, but at this point The Raider established a big break from Reckless and Duko Abbey. .When the final run was commenced, however, Duko Abbey took charge, and was not seriously troubled to win comfortably from his stablemate. Pee Simple, with Reckless a good third in front of The Haider. Bank Draft, Bronstell, Handy, Vigilance, and Arch Arrow. MELBOURNE NOTES. (SPECIAL TO TH« MUSS.) Atapo was made a slightly bettor favourite than Tholomon in the Pukerau Hurdle Handicap,, in which through Captain Sarto, Isla Bank, and Ecuador being bracketed, tliero was only one dividend. Isla Bank and Captain Sarto were well clear of the field for a mile. Then Atapo nnd Tholomon ran post them and at the home turn Tholomon took charge, but at the last fence Atapo joined him n aebdtmf fljtßucmfwypcmfwy jdined him and beat him home by two lengths. Penury Rose was five lengths away third. Royal Saxon was made a warm favourite for the Waimea Hack Handicap, with Felony well backed, and Good as Gold and Spean Bridgo best supported of the others. Jack o Lantern and Divinial gave a lot of trouble at the barrier, and after a delay of nearly twenty minutes the former was left at the post.' Good as Gold and Koyal Saxon led Money Mine out, and at the end of two furlongs were running three lengths clear of Money Mine, who was a similar-distance m front of Sparkling Eyes. Good as Gold held her own with the favourite till heads were turned for home. Then the latter drew away to boat her by a length and a half. Monoy Mine finished fast two lengths away third. , For the Mataura Harness Trot the In-vercargill-trained Desert Star was Bent out a slightly better favourito than Sunshower, Nihilist Junior being the only other starter well backed in a field of six. Sunshowor at once went to the front and led Miss Adonis and Nihilist Junior throughout, winning easily by two lengths from Nihilist Junior, who beat Miss Adonis for second money by a length. The favourite was a poor fourth. Only four started in tho Gore Cup, and Taboo was sent out about £6O better backed than Pink Note, each being nearly twice as well backed as Vaward. Taboo led Bilbo out of the straight, but going to the sev.en furlongs. poßt Bilbo took charge ana led-Taboo along the back, the four running in close order. Going to the far turn Pink Note went on the outside of Bilbo and Taboo, and they raced round tho top in lino, Pink Note outside. At toe Jura into tho straight Taboo was being ridden hard, and Pink Note appeared to havo half a length advantage at the distance post. Sticking to his task well Taboo beat Pink Note by a short neck on the post, with Vaward a length and a half away third. Pink Note's running was not an inipressive trial for the New Zealand Cup, as he failed to stay on over tho last furlong. Despite tho fact that he is unsound in tho wind, Koyal Head was sent out a better favourito than Insolence in the Novice Hack Handicap, with Eyed Ova tho only other starter well backed. After some delay at the post caused by Cupid's Dart and Rosothorn, both of them and Honey were badly left. Ace of Heartß led out from Insolence, but before reaching ■ the far turn the favourite had run into second place, and tho pair on even terms led Red Loaf and Lady Winton into the straight. At the distance post Royal Head had Aco of Hearts beaten, but was immediately tackled by Red Leaf, and in a good finish the latter prevailed by a short head. Ace of Hearts was a length and a half away third. The winner returned a substantial dividend. Tho leniently treated Celerity 11. was sent out an odds-on chanco in the Flying Handicap in a five-horse field, Comic Song and Bugle Note being withdrawn. Erne and Cassolotto made the running into the straight where tho favourite was lying last, six lengths behind the leader. In tho run home tho English-bred mare put in a great run and won easily, by half a length from Erne, Cassolette being three lengths further back. The best field of the day went out for the Labour Day Harness Trot, and tho locallytrained Sea Hawk was sent out s hot favourite, carrying more than twico as many investments as Sunshower, who was penalised 36yds for her previous win. Jack Mac and Tarndale led over the first half mile. Then Sea Hawk ran into second placo and took the lead passing the stand. Going along tho back Sea Hawk-led from Jack Mac and Sunshower. At tho fur turn Sea Hawk was just in front of Sunshower, with Woe Spark and Jack Mac next. Sunshower cried enough at the home turn where the favourite was just in front of Wee Spark and Jack Mac. In a great race to tho post Jack Mac beat Wee Spark by a length, with Sea Hawk two lengths off third, half a length in front of Tarndale. Another one dividend fiold went to the post for the Murihiku Handicap, and the betting was confined to Miss AVinkie nnd Equerry, the former being favourite by just over £IOO. Doleful Ditty, who was the best backed of the others, led Miss Winkie all the way, and though the latter got to within half a length of him at the home turn she failed to stay on, and Doleful Ditty won by four lengths. The Introductory Handicap was a onehorse affair when Rose Lognn took tho lead. At no stage of the journey was sho bustled, and though racing in front she set a pace that suilpd her. Going down tho back the last time Hendriksen allowed her to strido along, and she quickly P"t a good break on her nearest attendant. Rose Logan, unlike her half-brother, Master Audo, is a pacer, and promises to eclipse her half-brother in her class. Great Audo went solidly throughout without showing 'any particular brilliancy, but Homelight will do a wholo lot better perhaps before the Meeting concludes. DannyBoy raced green, but has undoubted speed. Silvio Logan went a good race, finishing in fourth piace, and the good-looking filly Myrtle Dillon showed enough speed to suggest a win for her when mure experienced. The unhonpled trotters engaged in tho P&tric Handicap gave a rather inglorious display. Connie Audubon was in front early in the race, and retained her position, tho only one to make a fighting effort being Taipoiti, who trotted soundly throughout and seems sure to improve on this performance in tho near future. Lonesome and Comfort, from 72yds behind, passed all except Connio Audubon and Taipoiti, and made the rest look very second rate.

Tho Mawhera Handicap provided a good race, full of interest from start to finish. Jackie Audubon was inado favourite, and with a lap to go ho took, the load and looked all over a winner. When tho pressure wus put on in the straight tho last time he broke up badly, mixing his gait and making rather a poor display altogether. Orphan went off the mark like an old campaigner, and was in a good position early in tho race, but although a winner, it must bo said that the young driver, M. Holmes, did not take tho opportunities offering. Commencing tho last lap ho was left with a clear run on the rails, and should have been alongside Jackie Audubon. Instead, he allowed Jackie Audubon and Quality to head him off, and at tho finish had to como on the outside to win after a vory fine effort. It was only a great run on Orphan's part that enabled him to win. Orphan has a reputation for speod, but several efforts of late have somowhat weakenod supporters in their allegiance. No,w that he has got on tho winning list ho may win more races. Quality went a rattling good race, and her driver, C. Donald, nursed her carefully throughout, coming with a dash in tho straight that quickly silenced the pretensions of the leader, Jackio Audubon. Master Don Beems to be back to his best form, and in the hands of L. Frost went a really good race. La Sonnetto went off badly, and was never dangerous. Great Form, coupled with the winner, showed a lot of speed in patches, but failed to run on. Tho unhoppled trotters in tho Royal Oak Handicap provided a race, full of interest, for in tho early stages Taipoiti carried on tho running, which was soon surrendered to Dolores, who led Louisiana and Comfort over tho concluding round. Nothing in tho race showed more speed than • Louisiana, but Withers, behind Dolores, drove a nice race, and this fact accounted for tho win. Louisiana, after making up her ground nicely, was bustled into a break several times. Dolores was bred in America, and is by Peter Chenault, who has since been imported to New Zealand by Mr J. R. McKenzie. She is a good level-headed trotter, and will win more races.

Maurico Holmos scored tho second win of the day for Mr 0. M. Ollivier when lie drove Potronius to victory in tho Blaketown Handicap, confined to unhoppled trotters. Potronius commenced smartly, and, always in a good position, camo away at tho finish to win comfortably from 'Horotane, who was never far away from the leading division. Petronius is by Nelson Bingen from Cameos, a well-bred marc by Galindo—Thelma, who has already left a champion in Onyx, and a moro than usoful performer in Berenice. He trotted soundly all the way, and will win 'again in the near fuutre. A lot of interest was token in the Greymouth Handicap, for which the New Zealand Cup candidates Cardinal Logan, Peter Bingen, Acron, and Great Hopo opposed the locally-owned Golden Devon. Prom tho Start Golden Devon was in front, but it was not long before Acron rushed to tho lead, and carried on from Golden Devon, Cardinal Logan, and Great Hope, with Peter Bingen tailed off last. In the' last round the field was well bunched, until Golden Devon began to feel the pinch, while Peter Bingon rushed to the lead two furlongs from home, and the race looked to bo all over. In the straight Cardinal Logan, who had been patiently driven, camo with a most determined run, and won very easily from Great Hope, who outstayed Peter Bingon in the straight. The winner was not generally fanciod. Although he is tho actual favourito for the Now Zealand Cup, Cardinal Logan's work had not given his trainer any encouragement to support him, but the manner in which he finished suggestod that he is in tip-top order, and moro than likely to be at still shorter odds for tho Cup. Peter Bingen and Acron faded out badly when asked a serious question, and both can be written out so far as the big race is concorned. Great Hope. went a fair race, but even he can have no chanco on this form with Cardinal Logan. In the Diggers' Handicap Tho Thistle scored & surpriso win, paying the bost dividend of the day. Royal Authoress set out to win from end to end, but fadod out when tackled by The Thistle. It was not by any means an interesting race, nnd was spoilt by tho bad behaviour at tho start of Harina, who interfered with several 6thers engaged. Tho Thistle has been doing great work in private, and tho knowing ones had a good win. Master Don, one of tho woll-backcd division, broke in the first Tound, and was not aftorwards dangerous. ... Dillon's Pride was first out in tho Aviation Handicap, and led for a good part of tho journey, but onco ho was tackled by Auditross ho had little to say in tho argument. Auditress won very easily, and may go on winning in moro select company than she met on this occasion. Sbo is a half-sister to Acron, and probably is more favoured in the matter of temperament than her fast but erratic relative.

NOTES ON T,HE RACING. (SPECIAL 10 IHX PRESS.) OAMARU, October 24. Though a cold sou'-easter blew across tho course all day, there was no rain till just after tho conclusion of the seventh race. The track was in good order, though a little dead, and tho racing interesting. Fourteen started for tho opening event, tho Improvers' Handicap, for -which Beta Corona was the popular choice. Keta Corena soon hit the front, followed by Al Peters. Rota Corona broke, and Al Peters led with a round to go. Len Wood, who lost ground at tho Btart, went wp to tho leaders, Al Peters criod "enough," and Lon Wood joined Reta Corona. In the run home Beta Corona again broke, and Len Wood went on to win comfortably by two lengths, Kitty Patch being four lengths further away. Littlo Bingen broke his overcheck, and had to be cased up. Heroic was always well placed in the Trial Handicap, and in tho straight came away and won very nicely. All acceptors faced tho starter for tho Oaniarn Cup. In a good betting race Author Jinkß was favourite. .Brentloc bogan fast, and led down the back from Harold Burwood, Trimmer, and Bell Harold, while alroady Prince Pointer had made up a lot of ground, and was racing well with Away. Passing tho post Brentloc was just in front of Harold Burwood, tho pair being ten lengths ahead of Trimmer, with 801 l Harold next, followed by Menomber and Harold Thorpe. Down .tho back Brentloo and Harold Burwood were racing in front, a dozen lengths in front of Trimmer and Bell Harold. A littlo furthor on Harold Burwood seemed to stumble, and broke, losing his apparently good chance in the race. Passing the post for the last circuit Bell Harold led from Trimmer, with Menember and Harold Thorpo now close up. Bell Harold broke, and Brentloo again lad from Trimmer, Datnahine, and Harold Thorpe. Racing for homo Dalnahino headed the leaders, and, coming on, won very easily by four lengths from Harold Thorpe, who was three lengths in front of Trimmer. Then followed Away, Brentloc, and Prince Pointer. King Pointer ended up a better favourito than Kreisler for the Pukeuri Handicap. Berma Pointer began vory quickly, and led down tho back from Kroislcr and LingflcK, but beforo tho homo turn Kreisler headed Bormn Pointer, and led past tho poßt four lengths clear of Lingfiold, Free Poinler, and Exclusive. Going down tho back Lingfield hoaded Kreisler, as did Exclusive, and the favourite was coming fast. Once in line for homo King Pointer easily held his own, and beat Lingfield by a littlo over a length, with Exclusive six lengths further away. Thon followed Kate Thorpe, Maringa, and Kulnine. Commander Bingen ended up favourito for the Waitaki Handicap, but the raco was a shocking exhibition, every ono of the starter's breaking up during tho race. Lord Tracy, Greywood, and Fairton wero tho leaders till tho second timo round, when Underviewer headed them, and, followed by Lord Tracy, led for the remainder of the journey. In a good raco home Underviewer just beat Lord Tracy by a length, with Commander Bingen a bad third. Nelson Ala broke early, and was never seen afterwards. Final McKinney ended up first choice for tho Weston Handicap. Kotuku Jack began quickly, and led along tho back from Pnn Yan and Harold Burwood. Racing past the post Pan Yan and Kotuku Jack wero abreast, three lengths in front of Hoon Hay and Harold Burwood. Running along the back Kotuku Jack was slightly in front of Pan Yan, but as they crossed tho bottom stretch Harold Burwood closed up, and, heading Kotuku Jack, joined Pan Yan. The latter coming out from the fence caused Harold Burwood to cover extra ground, and let Final McKinney up on tho fence. In a magnificent finish Final McKinney just lasted long enough to beat Harold Burwood by half a head, with Pan Yan a neck away, and Away close up. ■ Lee Bingen was favourite for tho Rcdcastlo Handicap in a good betting pool. Chimer-began well, and led past the post from Lee Bingen, Our Bird, Bay Nut, and Kreisler. The order was tho same along the back nnd passing the post for the last lap. Going down tho back Chimcr and Lcc Bingen wero racing almost abreast, followed by Kreisler. just heading a big bunch. Going across the bottom to the homo turn Chimcr started to draw away, and in tho run home won very easily by throo lengths from King Pointer, who was four lengths in front of Kreisler. The racing concluded with the Dash Handicap. Imshi led past the post from Lingfield and Glen Farg. Up the back stretch Huon Denver went very fast, and was following Lingfield. Crossing the bottom Huon Denver headed Lingfield, and going on in fine style, won very easily by three lengths from Lingficd, with Pointalena third.
