About the middle of July the Imperial Mission, through Sir Henry Page Croft, got into communication with Mr Amcry on the subject, the net result being that "nng definite could be arranged as the Et. It was desired that lr Amery should inaugurate the branch of the Empire Industries Association in view of the fact that he is chairman of the Empire Marketing Board, which, to a great extent, he was the originator. The whole matter will be gone into to-morrow, with the Mayor (Mr J. K. Archer- representatives of the Em--pire Industries' Association, the' Colonial Institute Branch, the Victoria League, the English Speaking Union, the A. and P. Association, and the Progress League.
