A GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP.
"For the past four years I have entered for the championship of my golf club," * writes a correspondent, "and, have not won it once. I have not even been in the money. This year a friend told me that success depended largely-upon attaining .the right temperament and that all the champions he knew weut round : smoking Officers' Mess Cigarettes .in 'order to steady their nerves. So this year I went round smoking Officers' Mess Cigarettes. I liked- them, but I didn't win this year either. The winner, however, was * smoking Officers' Mess Cigarettes." All good tobacconists sell Officers' Mess Turkish and Virginian at 10 for 9d. Barlow Bros., Christchureh, \ are the New Zealand Distributors. —6
