CONCERT AT BURWOOD.
A concert was given by the 'Webley Concert Party in aid of the Burwood school prize and picnic funds. Every item was well received by a large and enthusiastic audience, recalls being frequent. At the close Mr J. L-isgins, chairman of the Seliool Committee, expressed thanks and called on those present to show their appreciation. This was done bv hearty cheors and the singing ot •'For They Are Jolly Good Fellows.", The following was the programme:—Piano duet, Miss M. Johns and Miss D. Johnson;, solo, Miss Edna Johnson; solo, Miss Marjorie Nelson; recitation, Mr Cyri] Collins; violin solo, Miss Thelma Cusack; recitation, Mr Alec Dey; vocal duet. Mjss Johns and. Mis? E. Johnson.; solo, Mr F. Vincent; humorous sketch, Meesra Patterson and Collins; interval; piano duet. Miss M. Johns and Mus D. Johnson; solo, Miss Marjorie Nelson; humorous song, Mr T, Patterson; vocal solo ( violin obbligoto), Miss M. Johns; recitation, Mr C. Collins; vocal solo. Miss Edna Johnson: recitation, Mr Alec Dey; solo, Mr F. Vincent; sketch, Messrs Patterson and Col-1 lins.
