Competitors from many parts of New Zealand wore present at the Kinsr Edward Barracks yesterday afternoon, when the Canterbury, Nelson, Marlborough, nnd West Coast cji=i ric-ts o: the St. John Ambulance Brigade held their annual Brigade competitions. Gilliand (Hillside), ;•>; F. Burford (Timaru), 1. Presentation of Trophies. Last evening the presentation of the trophies won during the competitions was made by Major A. L Gray, Assistant Commissioner of tho Canterbury and \\ est Coast district, who congratulated the winning teams and divisions on their good showing, and expressed confidence in the continued excellent work of the Brigade. _ The presentation was made at a social and dance in the Veteran,' Ha! , which was attended by about n. hundred mombers ol the Brigade and their friends.
