Forecast. Conditions are still cold and i-qually, villi further scattered showers, especially in the eastern districts, lint improving gradually, with some night frosts. Present indications are for moderate winds and seas belu-een the East Cape and Capo Maria, and on the west coast of the South Island, otherwise strong south-westerly wind:, and rough seas: over the eastern Tasman Sea and New Zealand waters, but passing gradually eastward. The barometer at 'Wellington at <1 p.m. was 'JO.B-1,
