BUSHRANGERS IN CANTERBURY. There were exciting days in Canterbury in 1846 when bushrangers attacked the station of the Greenwood brothers at Purau and then made preparations for a sortie on the Deans homestead at Riocarton. One can hardly believe such things happening in the vicinity of Christchurch in these orderly days. It makes one realise the many years that Dill's Best Tobacco has been on the market. First produced in 1848 it is to-day going stronger than ever. When a tobacco maintains its popularity for eighty years it is conclusive proof that it must be giving the greatest satisfaction. As a matter of fact, it is the superior quality of Dill's Best that makes many thousands of men enjoy their pipes as they have never done before. Barlow Bros., Christchurch, are the New Zealand Distributors of Dill's Best. —6
