The first greyhound season has ended in London. It is estimated that 1,000,080 people •witnessed the racing during four months. The average admission fee was half a crown per head. Bets of £IOO became quite common. The biggest bet was of £BOO to £4OO against a dog named Dilly. The biggest amount lost by one bookmaker on a single race was £SOOO.
