GREYHOUND RACING.
POPULARITY IN LONDON. (BY CABLE -fSISS ASSOCIATION— COrIBIGHT.) (ACSTBALIAX AND K.2. CABLE ASSOCIATION.) (Received October 22nd, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, October 21. The first greyhound season has ended in London. It is estimated that 1,000,080 people •witnessed the racing during four months. The average admission fee was half a crown per head. Bets of £IOO became quite common. The biggest bet was of £BOO to £4OO against a dog named Dilly. The biggest amount lost by one bookmaker on a single race was £SOOO.
