SHIPPING NOTES. There will be a close holiday on the waterfront to-day. There will be only a moderate amount of work to-morrow, but the position should improve considerably on Wednesday and Thursday, nod remain good till the end of the week. i The Pakeha is to pail to-day for Wanganui and Wellington to complete Homeward loading. The Breezo is to load hero to-morrow for Wellington/ Picton, and Wanganui. The Wairau is to be dispatched to-morrow afternoon with cargo for Blenheim. The Orepuki arrived yesterday from Timarn with a part cargo of cement for discharge. She should get away to-morrow evening, taking general cargo for Nelson, Westport, and Greymouth. The Corinna, which had. deleted Lyttelton from her loading ports on her present northward trip, arrived here yesterday from Timarn, her itinerary having been again altered to include Lyttelton. She will load to-morrow for-Wellington, Nelson, and New Plymouth. j. The John was dye last evening from I Wanganui with cattle. She is to sail toI morrow afternoon with cargo for- Wellington, Wanganui. New Plymouth, and Waikato. The Calm is now due on Wednesday from Wellington, and is to sail the same day for r>lu(f, X>unedin, and Timarn.
