Information is given in a Marino Department notice to mariners regarding tho operation of Summer Time. Tho use of Summer Timo does not affect the. use of New Zealand standard time for purposes of astronomy, meteorology, or navigation, or affect tho .construction of- any document mentioning or referring to. a poiut of time in connexion with any of those purposes. The Summer Time Act, 1927, prescribes tho period of Summer Time shall be taken to be the period beginning at two o'clock, New Zealand standard time, in the morning of the first Sunday in November, 1927, and ending at two o'clock, New Zealand standard time, in tho morning of tho first Sunday in March, 1928; Tho attention of mariners 'ls!, drawn to tho several elements contained in ' New Zealand Nautical Almanac which are given in terms of New Zealand standard time, and to the necessity for. adding one ,-hour, to all eucti. times if desiring to obtain. ..them fn. terms of Summer Time.
